AFAIK there aren't any DX10 graphics cards yet.
If there are, it would be the 8800 and whatever ATI's latest is.
That being said, something like a 7900 is going to be a good bet.

I run 4 of these in my 3 computers. (main rig is sli'd) The performance is nice, but it's getting on the low side.
This card can run DX10 (most likely) but it's going to be on the slow side.
Time to start looking at upgrading. I already know which cards I'll be getting. 7950 GTX, four of them. It's my xmass gift to myself.

I know that an NVidia 6600 Pro supports the shaders v.3. My problem was finding an AGP card that supported this, as an upgrade for my old NVidia GeForce 4. Most of the stuff out there is either:
a. PCI-E and supports shaders v.3.
b. Old AGP cards that don't support it.
Hard to find.
It looks like we're moving into the mid-range ($250) cards being required for the nicer features, with the high range ($450) cards being recommended, and the regular stuff that usually gets bundled with computers ($100 price range) not cutting it. But that's usually how it goes with games.
The biggest problem cards have right now is that Shaders 3 is a new standard that some cards don't support, just like Hardware T&L was back when EVE was released.
You can get 6600Gt's that are AGP. In fact, would you like to buy one? I've got a spare.
